Toddler Care Training
Health care professionals agree that it is in the interest of your child’s health
to have him cared for in his own home environment for the first two years.
The training offered by Pikanini will make the parent / nanny / au pair more confident and efficient in caring for your child. Literacy is not a prerequisite as the manual is well illustrated and practical applications are done throughout the workshop to maximize the learning opportunity. The course is presented in your own home environment with practical demonstrations using your own equipment.
A certificate of attendance is presented to all delegates. A manual is included in the course fee, so that employers and delegates may use it as a reference. The course is presented in English.
Outline of Course:
Safety in & around the house (home assessment regarding plugs, elevated areas, appliances, swimming pools, etc)
Sleep safety
Sleeping & routine
When baby / toddler is ill and what to do?
Changing nappies & nappy rash
Personal hygiene
Feeding the picky eater and toddler meal/snack planning
Bathing
Toy cleaning and sterilising
Any other questions that might arise
Duration: 3 hours
