Cornel von Wielligh - Runstenburg

As a Registered Nurse, Midwife and mother of two daughters, I cannot emphasize enough, on how important it is for us as caregivers and parents to interact with our babies and children. A child's brain develops rapidly during the first five years of life, especially the first three years.

I am currently running a private baby clinic, and I have discovered that there is a definite need for new and exciting ways to stimulate and bond with our babies.

I am a strong believer in fostering connections and bonding with baby, and how exciting to know that we can do all this by having fun!

We are living in a world were time is one of the things we all wish we had more of. iPads, Computers and Cellphones, etc. , are part of our daily living and communication. We need to play without this, and at the same time we are enhancing valuable learning experiences for our babies, and through healthy bonding giving them emotional security that is so essential to their total development!

As a mother, nurse and educator I believe in beautiful beginnings!

As Benjamin Franklin once said: ' An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”

When and Why attend a Pikanini Play and Learn Workshop?

  • You are a mother of a young child (0 to 4 years)
  • You want to involve your babies grandparents in baby's stimulation
  • You are currently pregnant
  • You have to go back to work, and leave your precious child with a nanny, day mother, granny or au pair
  • You find it frustrating to fit in any stimulation classes and activities because most of them are scheduled during the day & week – when you have to be at work
  • You are confused as to what toys to buy for your baby in order to appropriately stimulate him?

Most of the stimulation activities can be incorporated into your child’s daily routine, so you can spend quality time with your child & maximize his potential while doing simple, everyday things such as bathing.
