Childcare Training:
The childcare training offered by Pikanini will make you or your domestic worker more confident and efficient in caring for your baby. Literacy is not a prerequisite as the manual is well illustrated and practical applications are done throughout the workshop to maximize her learning opportunity. The course is presented in your own home-environment with practical demonstrations using your own equipment.
Outline of Course:
- Safety in and around the house
- Sleep safety
- Sleeping and routine
- When is baby ill and what do I do?
- Changing nappies and nappy rash
- Bottle sterilization and preparation of feeds
- Personal hygiene
- Feeding
- Baby's laundry
- What do I do with a crying baby?
- Bathing
- Burping
- Basics of Dunstan Baby Language
- Any other questions that might arise
